Pottery Barn Book Club

Tuesdays: Kids of all ages are invited to join Pottery Barns story time. Become a member and receive a Book Club Passport at the first story time visit and a special gift after atending five story times.

Surf City Nights in Huntington Beach

Butterfly Pavilion at the Natural History Museum in Los Angeles

March 19 – September 4: The Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County (NHMLA) has re-designed and re-built its popular outdoor Butterfly Pavilion exhibit.

Duplo Family Play Day in Costa Mesa

Tuesdays: Children and their families are welcome to visit one of the Duplo tables in the library’s lobby.

Curiosity Carts at San Juan Capistrano Mission

Tuesday and Thursday: Each educational cart offers learning for students and visitors interested in seeing items up close.

Barnes and Noble Summer Reading Program

May 16 – September 5: Kids read any eight books, record them, and bring the completed journal to any Barnes & Noble store to receive a free book.

Kids Eat Free at Ikea Costa Mesa

Celebrate Shavout at Pretend City in Irvine

May 30: Shavuot for children is a fun Jewish holiday celebration where families stay up all night learning. Communities decorate synagogues and homes with flowers and greenery, and eat lots of cheesecake, blintzes, and other yummy dairy foods.

Dodgers Stadium Tour in Los Angeles

Ongoing: This behind-the-scenes tour lets fans visit some of the most restricted and non-public areas and view the Stadium from a whole new perspective.

Butterfly Pavilion at Rancho Santa Ana Botanic Garden

May 13 – August 6: The Butterfly Pavilion unites science education and hands-on fun for visitors of all ages. Hundreds of butterflies call the temporary enclosure home during the spring and summer.

Preschool Storytime at Once Upon a Storybook

Tuesdays and Fridays: Kids (3-5) and their parents join a themed storytime with rhymes and songs (at least three books), and a craft or science experiment.

Toddler Tuesday at Storymakery

Tuesdays: Join an interactive experience for toddlers with storytelling and singing.

Extreme Mammals Exhibit at Natural History Museum

May 14 – September 10: The exhibition introduces animals many visitors have never heard of or seen. Including rare fossils and specimens from around the world, vivid reconstructions, animated computer interactives, and hands-on activities.

California Yarnscape in Los Angeles

March 14-June 25: See one-of-a-kind pieces by fiber artists, knitters, and crocheters that respond to the question, “What is a California landscape to you?”

Doc McStuffins The Exhibit at Discovery Cube OC

May 27 – September 4: For the first time ever, Disney Junior has partnered with a museum to create an exhibit based on one of its most beloved characters!
