Caterpillar Adoption Days at Kidspace

March 11 – April 23: Painted Lady Caterpillars will be available in the Busy Bee Learning Store (while supplies last on a weekly basis). Witness the magic of metamorphosis by adopting a Painted Lady Caterpillar.

Surf City Nights in Huntington Beach

Tuesdays: This special street fair takes place along a closed-off section of Main Street and includes a farmer’s market, bounce house, street performers and more.

Butterfly Pavilion at the Natural History Museum in Los Angeles

March 19 – September 4: The Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County (NHMLA) has re-designed and re-built its popular outdoor Butterfly Pavilion exhibit.

Easter Eggstravaganza with Irvine Regional Railroad

March 25 – April 15: The annual Easter Eggstravaganza includes visits with the Easter Bunny, a moon bounce, egg hunts for ages 2-12, train rides, cookie decorating, games and activities for the whole family.

Butterfly Jungle at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park

March 11 – April 23: Thousands of exotic butterflies create a flurry of color and beauty as they flutter freely around you inside a huge aviary in the Hidden Jungle.

The Flower Fields at Carlsbad Ranch

March 1 – May 14: The nearly 50 acres of Giant Tecolote Ranunculus flowers that make up The Flower Fields at Carlsbad Ranch are in bloom for just six to eight weeks each year, bringing the famous fields back to life.

Pottery Barn Book Club

Tuesdays: Kids of all ages are invited to join Pottery Barns story time. Become a member and receive a Book Club Passport at the first story time visit and a special gift after atending five story times.

Duplo Family Play Day in Costa Mesa

Tuesdays: Children and their families are welcome to visit one of the Duplo tables in the library’s lobby.

Curiosity Carts at San Juan Capistrano Mission

Tuesday and Thursday: Each educational cart offers learning for students and visitors interested in seeing items up close.

Grand Prix View Open to Public in Long Beach

March 28: The Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach is opening up its track to the public. Ride a bike, glide on skates, walk or jog while experiencing the turns, tire tracks and sights all at your own pace.

Orange County Libraries Daily Story Times and Events

Daily: A monthly calendar of story times, crafts, homework help and family-friendly events at libraries in the Orange County library system.

Flashback Skate Night at Holiday Skate

Finding Neverland at Segerstrom Center for the Arts

The Journey of Girl Scouts Empowering Young Women Exhibit in Santa Monica

January 24 – March 29: The Santa Monica History Museum celebrates the history of the Girl Scouts of the USA with its latest exhibit: The Journey of Girl Scouts: Empowering Young Women, a special 105 year anniversary event.
