Story Adventures at Storymakery

Friday and Saturday: Kids (5+) and their family join the engaging, imaginative, and themed adventures of improvisational storytelling.

Butterfly Pavilion at the Natural History Museum in Los Angeles

March 19 – September 4: The Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County (NHMLA) has re-designed and re-built its popular outdoor Butterfly Pavilion exhibit.

Butterfly Jungle at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park

March 11 – April 23: Thousands of exotic butterflies create a flurry of color and beauty as they flutter freely around you inside a huge aviary in the Hidden Jungle.

Free Shark Lagoon Nights at the Aquarium of the Pacific

Fridays, January 6 – June 9: Get up close with the ocean’s ultimate predators during free Shark Lagoon Nights.

The Flower Fields at Carlsbad Ranch

March 1 – May 14: The nearly 50 acres of Giant Tecolote Ranunculus flowers that make up The Flower Fields at Carlsbad Ranch are in bloom for just six to eight weeks each year, bringing the famous fields back to life.

Caterpillar Adoption Days at Kidspace

March 11 – April 23: Painted Lady Caterpillars will be available in the Busy Bee Learning Store (while supplies last on a weekly basis). Witness the magic of metamorphosis by adopting a Painted Lady Caterpillar.

Noche de Estrellas Latin Late Night at the Aquarium of the Pacific

March 24: Party with the sea stars at the Aquarium’s Latin-themed night. The Aquarium will remain open until 10:30 p.m. so you can dance under the sea stars to the sounds of cumbia, salsa, cha cha, rumba and more.

Date Night by Frogg’s Bounce House

Fridays: Every Friday night is Date Night with Frogg’s Bounce House. Drop the kids off and enjoy a night out!

Academic Chess Friday Knights

Fridays: This fun tournament is open to all K-6th graders and includes three hours of chess, pizza and juice, plus trophies for the top four players in each age group!

Kids’ Sewing Clinics in Irvine

Second and Fourth Fridays: During OC Sewing & Vacuum’s sewing clinics for kids (8-16), sewing pro Susan Lindsey guides students along on their individual projects.

AAA Child Passenger Safety in OC

Minecraft Night for Kids Date NIght for Parents in Irvine

Fridays: Kids play Spleef and PvP with friends in the Roman Coliseum. Battle it out in the forests of the Hunger Games. And see if they have what it takes to breakout in Alcatraz Escape. Parents drop off the kids and enjoy a night out on their own.

Abilities Expo in Los Angeles

March 24-26: Discover opportunites for the L.A. disability community with ability-enhancing products and services, play a few adaptive sports, learn new dance moves, attend informative workshops and more.

Cosmic Bounce at Bounce U Orange

Every other Friday: They turn off the lights, crank up the music with special-effects lighting, so families can have their disco bouncing fun.

March 5-26: Leela is different. A teenager from India, she sketches life’s important moments in her journal. This touching story (suitable for age 13+; contains adult language) is about a unique young woman’s search for her place in the world.

Finding Neverland at Segerstrom Center for the Arts

March 21 – April 2: Directed by visionary Tony winner Diane Paulus and winner of Broadway.com’s Audience Choice Award for Best Musical, Finding Neverland tells the incredible story behind one of the world’s most beloved characters: Peter Pan.
