What do 500 artists, 300 hands-on workshops and al fresco eateries have in common?

They’re who and what’ll you see (and taste!) at Laguna Beach’s three big art festivals, Art-A-Fair, Festival of the Arts and the Sawdust Festival. The city’s Visitors and Conference Bureau this year is offering its $19 “Passport to the Arts,” a three-fer of a pass that gives unlimited admission, as well as special shopping and restaurants discounts, throughout the festivals’ respective runs. Art-A-Fair (June 26 – Aug. 30): Various styles and mediums of art are esconced in a pastoral garden. Check out oil, acrylic and watercolor paintings; photography, digital art and mixed media; sculpture, glass, ceramic and wood work by internationally juried craftsmen and artists. The Sawdust Art Festival (June 26 – Aug. 30): Unique for showcasing only art work created in Laguna Beach, Sawdust exposes visitors to the creativity of some 200 artisans. Let your inner artist shine! Sign up for any of the fair’s numerous and diverse craft projects from the Children?s Art Spot, Ceramics Booth, Sawdust Studio, and the festival’s world-class Glass Blowing Booth. Festival of Arts (July 5 – Aug. 31): One of the nation’s top fine art shows, Festival of the Arts showcases the visions and handiwork of more than 145 celebrated and accomplished Orange County-based artists.
