Super Pass, Unlimited Fair Access

Find more: Cool Stuff

If you’re a fan of county fairs, the Orange County Fair has got a deal for you! In keeping with this year’s “Think Big” theme, the OC Fair this week rolled out its latest discount: the Super Pass.

The pass ($25 for adults, $15 for kids 6-12) lets you enjoy daily admission to the fair throughout its entire 23-day run, not to mention a glut of benefits and discounts. Skip those long lines and take the express lane at ALL entry gates including Big Al Yankovich’s “Big Al’s Brain” 3-D attraction; save 10% on reserved seating for Action Sports Arena events; and take advantage of the 2-for-1 ticket discounts for live performances by musical greats Rick Springfield, Smokey Robinson, Joan Jett and The Blackhearts, KC and the Sunshine Band, and Three Dog Night.

That’s not the only good deal happening, either:

- On July 10, the fair’s opening day, actively serving military personnel, firefighters and police officers plus one guest get in free between 1-6 p.m., thanks to the Salute To Heroes discount.

- Every Wednesday is “We Care Wednesday.” Each week’s featured charity is different, with beneficiaries such as food banks, a Los Angeles Times kids reading program, and a school supply drive spearheaded by Rotary Club International. Donate a requested item and get free admission and one free carnival ride. To learn more, click here.

- Kids under 12 get in free every Thursday through the Free Kid Thursdays program, while seniors pay only $4 every Friday through the Senior Days Fridays program.

The Orange County Fair will run July 10 – Aug. 17 at the Orange County Fairgrounds in Costa Mesa. For detailed information on competitions, contests, daily events and other fun happenings, log on to www.ocfair.com/2009 or call (714) 708-FAIR.
