With the new school year just around the corner, it’s time to get creative and productive for Kidsguide Challenge 2010‘s next prompt, Week 11: Academics.

Entries for this portion of the challenge will be accepted Aug. 22-28. The prize is pretty cool – family 4-pack passes to Splash! La Mirada Aquatics Center.

Located on 18 acres on the western edge of La Mirada Regional Park, at the heart of Splash! is Buccaneer Bay, which features slides, spray areas, a lazy river, a zero-depth beach entry and play structures. Local, affordable and brimming over with other offerings such as year-round swim lessons and classes, Splash! also has 50-meter and 25-yard pools for a community’s competition, fitness, and instruction needs, as well as a warm-water spa for therapeutic purposes. It’s also an ideal location to host parties, fundraisers and other private events.
