October 7- Preen your feathers, sharpen your claws, and roll in another layer of mud, it’s World Animal day! This event highlights all kinds of amazing animals from around the world.
Through late November: Working apple orchards in Oak Glen, a mountain town halfway between Riverside and Palm Springs, open their doors to the public. Some offer U-pick apples.
