30Minute Beach Cleanup in Long Beach

Third Saturdays: Free parking, bags, gloves, door prizes and refreshments provided. Bring hat, sunscreen and comfy shoes. 10-10:30 a.m. End of Granada Avenue in Belmont Shore.

L.A. Zoo Lights and Reindeer Romp at the Los Angeles Zoo

November 16 – January 6: With the flick of a switch, the zoo is set aglow with breathtaking displays. Take a self-guided 60- to 90-minute stroll though a large area of the Zoo filled with animal-themed displays, dynamic lights and projections, and seasonal magic.

Muzeo Express, Holiday Model Trains at Muzeo

November 17- January 20: The annual exhibition, Muzeo Express, celebrates the holiday season with model trains, miniature scenes and hands on activities, sure to be a holiday favorite for children and enthusiasts alike.

Saturday Sing-a-long at Southern California Children’s Museum

Saturdays: 100% interactive music time! Children learn rhymes of all kinds, sing silly songs, and are encouraged to wiggle and move.

Chinese Lantern Festival at Pomona Fairplex

November 15 – January 6: Experience an incredible, authentic and amazing larger than life handcrafted lanterns, live entertainment and food. Over 1,000 lanterns, live kung fu/chinese martial arts performances, free kung fu coaching on stage, dinosaur rides, and more!

Winter Fantasy at the Sawdust Art Festival in Laguna Beach

Weekends, November 17 – December 16: Winter Fantasy features 175 artists and makers, three stages of live music and entertainment, thousands of lights and decorations, glassblowing and art demos and so much more!

Remembrance Day at the Drum Barracks Civil War Museum

November 17: For the eigth year, the Drum Barracks Museum joins in the national remembrance and celebration of President Abraham Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address given at the dedication of the Gettysburg National Cemetery on November 19, 1863.

November at Pretend City

November 1-30: Kids can participate in a variety of activities depending on the special event. Activities this month focus on gratitude, family and the importance of being thankful for the many blessings in our lives.

Apple Season in Oak Glen

Through late November: Working apple orchards in Oak Glen, a mountain town halfway between Riverside and Palm Springs, open their doors to the public. Some offer U-pick apples.

Family Flicks at the Hammer in Los Angeles

November 18: Join Family Flicks at the Hammer in Los Angeles for a screening of Spy Kids.
Two kids attempt to save their parents from an evil mastermind, using a bag of high-tech gadgets and out-of-this-world transportation to crisscross the globe in a series of thrilling adventures.
