Local animal care centers and exotic rescue such as the Marine Mammal Care Center, Pacific Marine Mammal Center and the Star Eco Station offer educational programs for kids on an ongoing basis.

Living Desert Zoo and Botanical Gardens

Encounter over 450 wild animals, live shows, children’s discovery center, animal carousel, seasonal camel rides, twice daily giraffe feedings and a G-scale model train, and more.

San Diego Zoo Safari Park

Safaris, camps, sleepovers, zip line and a Jungle Ropes course.

Offers a children’s farm, train and carousel rides. Family events throughout the year.

The Reptile Zoo

Offers parties, educational events, and junior zookeeper camps.
