Academic Enrichment Camp

2018 sessions: June 18 – July 13 and July 16 – August 10. Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. – noon.


Bionerds offers fun and hands-on biology workshops for kids (grades K-8) throughout Orange County. They have after school, in-class, summer and party programs.

Blue Submarine

The Blue Submarine is a marine biology outreach program offering classes and activities for students pre-K through 8th grade. Topics are presented in an interactive format and live tide pool animals are available for certain classes.

Camp Invention

Hands-on learning center that is dedicated to bringing the wonder and excitement of space science to children of all ages. The 20,000-square-foot visitor center hosts the only Challenger Learning Center in the greater Los Angeles area.

Discovery Cube Orange County and Los Angeles

Discovery Cube Orange County and Los Angeles are filled with interactive and hands-on exhibits in themed areas, including: Discovery Theater, Inspector Training Course, Boeing Rocket Lab, Eco Challenge, Science of Hockey, and more.

iD Tech

Kids and teens ages 7-18 learn to code, design video games, mod Minecraft, create with Roblox, engineer robots, print 3D characters, work with AI and machine learning, build laptops, learn about cybersecurity, and more!

Jet Propulsion Laboratory

Various science projects and contests, plus web activities and resources for kids.

Long Beach Marine Institute Camps

Weekly sessions introduce campers, ages 5-7, 8-9 and 10-12, to marine life and the ocean with hands-on projects, crafts and field trips. June 18 – August 17.


Makerspaces are locations where people create, invent, and learn, usually with technology such as 3D printers, software, electronics, craft and hardware supplies and tools, and more.

Makersville/Club Ten: A Learning for Life Program of the Long Beach BSA

Unique, hands-on classes, parties, and curriculum-based activities that include Minecraft modding, game design, creative and technical LEGO, robotics, programming, engineering, digital 3D, cosplay and props, video making, youth inventing and entrepreneurship.

Moving Mindz

Moving Mindz offers fun and engaging classes and camps in robotics, engineering, coding, game design, animation, 3D printing and more. Their homeschool math and science classes are aligned with the most current Common Core State Standards and Next Generation Science Standards.
