Aquatics and Water Polo
Deep Blue Swim School offers free infant classes (3-5 months), private lessons, parent-and-me swim classes, pre-competitive swim team, snorkeling clinics, and scuba for kids year round in their 92 degree indoor and ozone-filtrated pools.
Currently looking for talented kids (6+), from learn-to-dive beginners, to high school divers, to elite national competitors.
Group and private swim lessons are offered June – August at Golden West College’s Aquatic Facility. Class offerings include: Parent and Me, Preschool (ages 3-5), Level 1-5 (ages 6+) and Water Polo.
A list of cities and state park offer summer Junior Lifeguard programs for boys and girls (7-17).

Rocket Fish Swimming practices at the new Belmont Plaza Pool in Long Beach. Rocket Fish is a high-quality swim experience with an emphasis on two main goals: 1) character development and 2) stroke development for swimmers ages 5-14.
Southern California Swimming (SCS) oversees city and community club teams. Swimmers (4+) are grouped according to age and ability for year-round, weekday workouts and weekend competitions.

Take your kids’ swimming to the next level! Newbies can now join United Waterpolo Club (UPWC). Since it was founded in 2007, UWPC has garnered eight national championships. Dedicated to teaching and promoting water polo to youth throughout Southern California, the non-profit club offers competitive programs for boys and girls (5-14).
