Idyllwild Arts Summer Program
Designed for ages 5 and up, programs in Idylwilld Arts Summer Program provide a nurturing environment to explore creativity and performance. The summer program provides children, teens, adults and professional artists intensive practical instruction in all the visual arts and performing arts – sculpture, painting, photography, ceramics, jewelry, Native American arts, film & digital media, fashion design, dance, music, theatre, creative writing and much more. The low student-to-teacher ratio of approximately 9:1 ensures that students receive special individual attention. Programming for teens is also targeted through their High School Intensives.

Outdoor Recreation
The Children’s Center and teen programs also give students ample time to enjoy physical activities and recreation, including short hikes, pool parties and game nights, all in the naturally beautiful setting with clean air, alpine forests, mountain meadows, and singing Strawberry Creek.

Summer Camp Isn’t Just for the Kids!
While the kiddos are in their programs, parents can explore their own interests in the Adult Arts Center. The Center is a focused, yet relaxed setting, with instruction and personal attention to individual artistic needs in a community of fellow creatives – – for of all levels and abilities. Whether you’ve always wanted to learn about medicinal uses of California native plants, or finally take that class in glass blowing, piano, songwriting, ceramics, cuisine or metal work, here’s your opportunity! View the complete list of courses, whether for grown-ups or kids, here.

Family Week
Family Week at the Idyllwild Arts Summer Program provides the entire family – children, teens and adults, with instruction in all of the visual arts. Together, enjoy the campus’ indoor and outdoor theaters, art and dance studios, and two dozen practice rooms. This year’s Family Week will be held June 16-22, 2018.
