The Lycée International de Los Angeles (LILA) is a French American School established in 1978. The French Ministry of Education, praising the school’s rich teaching practices, named LILA the academic model school of North America after a weeklong inspection in the Fall of 2009. LILA follows an intensive bilingual bicultural French/English program from preschool through 12th grade on four campuses (Los Feliz, Orange, Pasadena, West Valley), leading to the International and/or French Baccalaureate Honors/AP level program. Employs a humanistic approach to education, providing students with a joy in learning based on knowledge, skill, and reason across many fields. Nonprofit, non-sectarian.
