More than 11,000 ocean animals are featured in three main galleries with 19 major habitats and 32 focus exhibits including over 500 different species. Exhibits include: Shark Lagoon, with sharks and ray touch tanks; the Lorikeet Forest aviary; and the “Whales: Voices in the Sea,” kiosk exhibit. In May 2011, two new exhibits opened at the Aquarium of the Pacific: the Arctic and Antarctic: Our Polar Regions in Peril and the Ocean Science Center.
