October 27: The 19th annual Dia de Los Muertos will be held at Hollywood Forever, Los Angeles’ oldest memorial park, to honor and celebrate the Aztec goddess Coatlicue, “Mother of the Gods.” Dia de Los Muertos attire strongly encouragedcome dressed in your finest Calaca apparel. Enjoy music and dance performances, fine Mexican cuisine, 100+ altars, arts and crafts, skeleton costume contests and a children’s art project area. Saturday, noon – midnight. $25 per person; kids (8 and under) and seniors are free until 4 p.m.
