February 2: Groundhog Day with Punxsutawney Phil has been a part of American History since 1887.
February 2: Kids (3–5) and their adult friends read the book “Leaf Man” by Lois Ehlert, go on a leaf hunt, then make a leaf man to take home.
February 2: It is said that on this day, when the groudhog emerges from it’s burrow.
February 3: In The Flying Karamazov Brothers’ vaudevillian juggling-and-comedy act, everything flies – swords, apples, torches, fish, theatrics, and jokes.
February 3: Having a Child I.D. will give you the peace of mind knowing that should anything ever happen to your child, you will have an I.D. with vital information to distribute to the local authorities.
February 4: Enjoy the rising moon over Moro ridge on a moderated two-mile hike.
February 2-4: Little Orphan Annie deals with Ol’ Mis Hannigan and finds a family.
February 4: Kids (6-11) drop in for an afternoon of good old fashioned fun! Create unique seasonal crafts and participate in engaging Rancho-themed activities.

February 4-5: Visitors experience the beauty of Chinese music, dance, and culture as the arrival of the Year of the Dragon is celebrated at a Chinese New Year festival.
February 5: Enjoy a very low -0.8 tide Crystal Cove State Park where a volunteer will lead a guided tide pool walk to Pelican Point. The guide will help identify animals.
February 4-5: Bank of America is helping its customers celebrate the new year through Museums on Us, giving bank cardholders free admission to cultural venues in Los Angeles.
February 5: On the first Sunday of every month, the Bowers invites you to bring your family to the museum for a free afternoon of cultural fun.

February 10: Pre-teens and teens (11+) learn to be prepared for emergencies, accidents, busy babies, active toddlers and much more in this information packed babysitter training class.
February 10: Gather the family to make warm and gooey S’Mores by a campfire. Each session runs one hour and includes open access to the nature trail plus s’more making and eating by the fire. Bring a flashlight.

February 18-19: Amber is a fossilized tree resin that is used as an ingredient in perfumes, as a healing agent in folk medicine, and as jewelry (remember the movie, Jurassic Park?).
February 18-19: Experience Scottish heritage with parades, Highland dance competitions, country dancing and Highland games.
November 19 – February 20: La Mirada’s eco-friendly synthetic ice rink is presented in partnership with Crystal Ice Skating.
