12 Things to Do with Dad this Father’s Day Weekend!

Spend quality time with Dad this weekend and create new memories! Make Dad feel like a kid again by taking him to the circus or go on a voyage aboard a real tall ship! Whatever you choose to do… just have fun being around the coolest guy you know.

 


 

Father’s Day Celebration at American Girl in Los Angeles
June 15: (For girls ages 8 and up) Spend Father’s day with your little girl! Enjoy a delicious meal in the American Girl restaurant, play a fun dice game, make-your-own memory board craft and have a wonderful outing. Plus, receive a spiral book to record all the best moments and a picture frame to never forget the daddy/daughter day. Friday, 6 p.m. – 7 p.m. $36 per person (gratuity not included), reservations required.

 

Long Beach Coin, Currency, Stamp and Sports Collectible Expo
June 14-16:
This annual expo brings together more than 10,000 dealers and collectors of coins, currency, stamps, sports cards, autographs and memorabilia. Kids can join the Young Numismatists Treasure Hunt, or stop by the Kids’ Corner to learn more about collecting and to enter raffles. Thursday and Friday, 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.; and Saturday, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Adults, $8; kids (8-16), $4, kids 7 and under, free. Long Beach Convention Center.

 

Father’s Day Adventures at Sea in Dana Point
June 16: Sign aboard for an exciting voyage on a real tall ship! First, you and dad will enjoy breakfast burritos, fresh fruit, and a beer (for dad) and juice on our Historic Maritime Wharf. Once you set sail on the spirit of Dana Point, you and dad can join the crew in handing lines and raising sails. You may help steep the ship, or just sit back and enjoy being out on the open ocean. Build a C02 Car for Free with Dad in Los Alamitos
June 17: Together, kids and dads can enjoy Father’s Day as they build a C02 car at Build It Workspace. Participants will hand-craft a car that is powered by compressed air, and then find out how far will it go, in the on-site races. Sunday. 10 a.m. – noon.

 

Dad’s Day Out in Palos Verdes
June 17: Take dad on an adventure in the garden and hike through trails, design a memory box and create burnt wood art. Then let dad enjoy the Craft Beer station courtesy of Smog City Brewing and play some outdoor games. All dad’s receive one complimentary beer. Event is rain or shine and is included with admission or membership. RSVP highly encouraged. Sunday, 1-4 p.m. South Coast Botanic Garden.

 

Dads Golf Free at Golf N’ Stuff
June 17: Wish Dad a Happy Father’s Day with a free game of mini-golf (with purchase of one paid golf game), at Golf N’ Stuff. Sunday, June 17, 2018 only.

June 17: This Father’s Day put your heads and hands together to make a fun craft. Make a handmade button badge that celebrates your special someone! Use drawing and a mix of beautiful papers to create a personalized token of your appreciation. Sunday, 1-3 p.m. Free with admission.

 

Father’s Day BBQ at the Aquarium of the Pacific
June 17: Celebrate Father’s Day with the entire family at the Aquarium of the Pacific’s annual picnic. Savor lunch, enjoy picturesque views of Rainbow Harbor, and delight in the underwater sea life of the Aquarium. Pet sharks and rays with your dad, and discover cool ocean dads like seahorses and sea dragons in the new exhibition.
